How to get the Legendary Chest at Althjof’s Rig: God of War Ragnarok

There are nine realms with multiple legendary chests for you to find in God of War Ragnarok, and the Legendary Chest at Althjof’s Rig is one of them. Each of these legendary chests contains a special item that will help you improve your gameplay throughout the game.

Where can you find the legendary chest at Althjof’s rig?

The Legendary chest which is found in Althjof’s Rig is in the Svartalfheim Realm. You will visit this place during the Service of Asgard side quest for Mimir. This is your opportunity to find this legendary chest.

Refer to the map given in the image, and sail to the place that is marked. The Althjof’s rig will be found to the north of the Bay of Bounty. Follow these steps to retrieve the legendary chest at Althjof’s Rig.

How to get the Legendary Chest at Althjof’s Rig God of War Ragnarok

Climb the chain.
There will be a wheel on the platform that you can turn to bring the gantry (the lift) up and down.
Turn the wheel to bring the lift upwards.
After that go to your left and use Blades of Chaos to bring the platform down.
Use Blades of Chaos to swing across the platform.
Near the obstacle, there is a barrel. Use Blades of Chaos to light up the barrel.
This will cause an explosion and the obstacle will be removed.
Return to the wheel and bring the lift to the top.
Open the closed door on the platform and enter through it.
Jump down and light up the barrel.
Collect the Hacksilver and climb the wooden pillar.
Climb through the sides.
When you look down from the platform, you will see a stone square with a blue symbol.
Break through this stone slab.
You will enter a chamber. Defeat the monster there.
Then use the mechanism right opposite to you to bring the platform up.
Move to your left and read the blue ruins on the wall.
Then break the other stone wall to get the scroll.
Go to your left and you will see the Legendary Chest at Althjof’s Rig right in front of you.
