Stardew Valley Update Adds Mines Layouts, Fish Frenzies, and More.

The recent 1.6.4 update of Stardew Valley has released tons of new features and content that have created a massive buzz nowadays. The update was out with some balance changes and bug fixes. The developers have updated the game to make it more interesting and impressive. Here are all the updated details you should know if you are a Stardew Valley player. 

Stardew Valley Update Adds Mines Layouts

New Content and Features

  • Inclusion of 20 new alternate and volcano mine layouts. The alternate layouts can be noticed after you reach the bottom of the mines. The volcano mine layouts will appear after unlocking the shortcut between the volcano entrance and the caldera. 
  • The update included fish frenzies, four new fairy styles, and a special cutscene after you helped your neighbor max out their family. 
  • Allows placing 8 additional non-fish items into the fish tanks and the raccoon shop includes the mystery and golden mystery boxes trading.
  • Allows vinegar pouring onto trees and the shaving enchantment now causes tree-specific drops. 

Balance Changes

  • Get Steam achievements if required when loading a save game.
  • Monsters in the volcano entry level are randomized every day.
  • Inclusion of mini-shipping bin and improvements to Skull Cave treasure chest.
  • Coal carts and mine barrels refresh at the beginning of every year. 
  • Farming experience contributes to the mastery experience. 
  • The mystery box rewards order is now randomized per player
  • The ice orb will not freeze the spider when jumping in the air. 
  • Life elixir and energy tonics changes.
  • Exclusion of calico rating points from going down the normal mines. 
  • Treasure Totem Indoor changes. 
  • Increment in the Raccoon Mystery Box reward. 
  • Doubling the Iridium Golem’s chance to drop Iridium.
  • Going down a Mine Level turns you invulnerable for 1 second.
  • Red snapper and Sardines removal. 
  • Reduction in Mystery Boxes finding chance. 

Quality of Life Updates

  • Delay by 1.2 seconds after dropping an item, before equipped by a player. 
  • The Crab pots have a short time frame after harvesting them they can’t be removed. 
  • Now, Napalm rings are non-destructive inside the slime hutch and on the farm. 
  • The Ctrl + Right-click has become an alternate toolbar drop hotkey. 
  • Flopping fish will not fall back into the fish banks. 
  • The Junimo bundle menu will highlight those items only that can be placed in the selected bundle. 
  • Getting a special notification will not terminate players’ eating or warping actions.

Translation Changes

  • Several edits and improvements to the Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Korean, and Hungarian, versions. Moderations in Chinese fonts and Hungarian numbers, making them more readable. 

Visual Improvements

  • Signage improvements in non-English languages. 
  • Numerous map fixes and edits.
  • Maru’s glasses were removed from all beach portraits.
  • Qi club coins will be shown in the map menu.

Cosmetic Fixes

  • If the placeable grass is clipped through a front-layer tile, it will offset vertically. 
  • Fixing movie theater displays, various map tiles, swapping identical chests, wobbling machines, crane game audio not stopping, repeated dialogue selection, etc. issues. 
  • Joja Warehouse roof drawing above the weather, visual issue, Qi club coins drawn, Qi coin overlay drawn, George’s TV clipping, movies not showing layered sprites, etc. issues are fixed. 
  • The seasonal world map not working, flying monsters are not being drawn, and the reward icon in the completed quest menu issues are solved. 

Multiplayer and Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed fireworks drawing behind stuff. 
  • Fixed issues in Build a Silo and Raccoon quests.
  • Fixed double or missing derby participant sprite issues in multiplayer. 
  • NPC Gift data sync in other languages. 
  • Double trinket issue fixing upon farmhand disconnection or reconnection.

Display Text and Localization Fixes

  • Numerous fixes in the translated texts. 
  • Spacing and Text Parsing errors in Asian languages are fixed.
  • Fixed various localization, Russian line breaks, and events not handling errors. 

Modded and Mod Authors Changes

  • Improved debug commands. 
  • De-hardcoded forest waterfall. 
  • Added different fields in modes, missing ID fields, animal’s sprite sheet size invalid warning.
  • Use tokenizable strings in dialogue texts and event scripts. 

Modded and Mod Authors Fixes 

  • Fixed several crashes. 
  • Fixed Wallpapers and flooring not appearing, the world map showing a glitched texture, and Steam players disconnection when using modes. 
  • Riding the bus to the desert warping your back issues is fixed. 
  • Fixed multiplayer crashes for players not having identical NPC textures, soft lock when a warp results in an invalid location, pre-1.6 farm, etc., issues. 

Other Fixes

  • During Green Rain year 1, you can give gifts to NPCs, preventing portrait issues with Demetrius and incongruous attitudes. 
  • Minor optimizations.

Included two inappropriate names for exclusion from the name generator.
