How to Unlock Characters
In Mario Kart World, some characters are unlocked by default, while others require you to meet specific conditions. To unlock the main drivers, you need to complete certain cups in Grand Prix mode.
These unlockable characters include:
- Star Cup—Rosalina
- Mushroom Cup—Donkey Kong
- Flower Cup—Daisy
- Banana Cup—Birdo
- Shell Cup—Lakitu
- Lightning Cup—Bowser Jr.
- Leaf Cup—King Boo
In this table, completing the cups listed on the left side in Grand Prix mode will unlock the racers shown on the right side.
Also, if you use the new Kamek item, you’ll temporarily transform into a random NPC. The character you turn into depends on the nearby non-playable characters on the track. Once you use this item and transform, that NPC will be permanently unlocked for future use.
