Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO game where you play as a character trying to survive on the harsh desert planet of Arrakis.
Your main goal is to stay alive, gather resources, and rise in power in a world filled with danger, political tension, and mystery.
You take on the role of a Bene Gesserit spy, searching for the missing Fremen and trying to awaken something known as “The Sleeper.” Along the way, you’ll face tough challenges like extreme heat, water shortages, and deadly sandworms.
You can collect spice, mine for resources, build structures, and explore the desert using sand bikes and flying ships.
In this article, we’ll guide you on how to pay taxes in Dune: Awakening and where to do it.
What are Taxes in Dune Awakening?

In Dune: Awakening, taxes are an important part of the game. You need to pay them weekly/bi-weekly to keep your base’s shields active.
These shields protect your base from dangerous sandstorms and, in PvP areas, from attacks by other players.
To pay your base tax, visit the Imperial Tax Representatives in Arrakeen or Harko Village once a week.
How to Check Your Tax Due:
Follow these simple steps:
- Go to your Hagga Basin base (not South Hagga/Deep Desert).
- Find the sub-fief console.
- Press E (PC) or tap to open the menu.
- Check tax owed (2,350–6,500 Solaris).
- Note time left (~7–14 days).
- Review unpaid invoices per sub-fief.
- South Hagga/Deep Desert bases are tax-free.
