The Pet Mutations Update has been released in Grow a Garden, and it introduces a brand-new Primal Egg that players can now hatch.
This special egg primarily produces Dinosaur Pets, which are significantly more powerful than regular pets.
The pets hatched from this egg offer unique prehistoric abilities that bring new strategies and advantages to your garden.
Each pet from the Primal Egg belongs to a different rarity tier and comes with completely different, unique abilities.

How to Get Primal Egg in Grow a Garden
To get started, you need to upgrade the DNA Machine to either Stage 1 or Stage 3.
To do this, go to the DNA Machine and give Barry, the dinosaur NPC, more than 40kg of Prehistoric plants.
DNA Machine Unlocks (by Weight):
- 40 kg – Unlocks New Egg
- 60 kg – Cuts wait time by 12 mins
- 80 kg – Unlock more egg slots
- 100 kg – Unlocks craftable eggs
- 120 kg – Cuts wait time by 24 mins
Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll be able to obtain a Primal Egg by giving Graham any pet except a dinosaur.
Alternatively, you can also craft the Primal Egg at the crafting station near the DNA Machine using specific materials.

- 5,500,000 Sheckles
Crafting will take 30 minutes to complete.
You can purchase the Primal Egg directly from the crafting station for 149 Robux
Once you have the egg, please place it in your garden.
It will take 4 hours and 10 minutes to hatch.
