The Noiseform Rod is a secret developer-themed rod that can be obtained by completing a three-part fishing quest for a hidden NPC located in Shady Bazaar during a Cursed Storm.
Start the Questline
- Wait for a Cursed Storm to start.
- Go to Shady Bazaar.
- Light all candles.
- Talk to the Mysterious Shadow NPC to begin the quest.
Complete the Three Catch Quests
The Mysterious Shadow will require you to catch specific rare fish using very specific rod combinations and modifiers.
Make sure you use buffs to make this easier:
Quest 1:
- Catch a Sunken Megalodon (use Sunken Rod or Dead Man’s Rod).
- Catch a Blossomed Kraken (miss the perfect catch on a normal Kraken while using Burden of Oath / Veridian Oath rod).
Quest 2:
- Catch a Jackpot Shimmering Silverside (50% chance with Random Rod).
- Catch a Soultouched Styx Angler (using Soul Scythe).
Quest 3:
- Catch a Requiem Scylla (using Requiem Rod).
- Catch a Leviathan (using Tranquility Rod or Duskquire Rod with Wobbly enchant).
Turning all of these in will reward you with the Restricted Noiseform Rod.
Unrestrict the Rod (Corrupted Sound Quest)
To unlock the rod’s full potential and stats, you have to unrestrict it.
- Wait for another Cursed Storm.
- Travel to Hawaii.
- Equip your restricted Noiseform Rod.
- Find the gravestone near Hades Seal and hold E.
- Receive a Compact Disc / Corrupted Disc.
- Return to the Mysterious Shadow NPC.
- Watch cutscene → Rod is fully unrestricted.
