The Infected Mutation is one of the most powerful and eye-catching crop mutations in Grow a Garden.

This mutation greatly boosts the value of any crop it’s applied to, making that crop far more profitable.

While there are other mutations in the game that also raise crop value and change how the crop looks, this mutation stands out due to its strong effect.

Some mutations in the game are triggered by weather, while others come from pets, gear, or even admins.

In this article, we’ll explain how to get the Infected Mutation in Grow a Garden, including details on its multiplier, appearance chance, and more.

Description

The crop turns fully green and gives off light green haze.

The Infected Mutation is applied to crops during a Jandel Zombie Invasion event, which can only be started by game admins.

It’s an admin-only event triggered through the game’s weather system.

When the event begins, waves of zombies invade your garden, the sky turns green, and a special sound effect plays.

As zombies move through your farm, they spread the Infected Mutation to crops they touch.

To stay updated on this event, check the announcements tab in the game’s official Discord server.

Crops with this Mutation get a x75 value boost, meaning their selling price increases 75 times.

For example, a 11.4kg Pitcherplant crop normally sells for 28,800 Sheckles, but with this mutation, it sells for 2,160,000 Sheckles.
