Each mutation is triggered under different conditions, such as weather events, using the Nectar Staff, or other special gear.
Every mutation gives a specific multiplier, and sometimes, multiple mutations like Disco, Pollinated, or Alienlike can apply to a single crop at once.

Sundried is one of the rarest crop mutations in Grow a Garden, added during the June 21, 2025, Summer Update.
It gives a massive 85x multiplier to the crop’s base value.
This mutation can appear naturally during a Heatwave event.
Crops with the Sundried effect look golden-brown with a soft, glowing shine, as if sun-baked.
You can also use a Tanning Mirror from the Gear Shop to speed up this mutation process.
The mirror redirects sunlight up to 10 times to nearby crops before breaking.
