You play as Rune Knudsen, a Norwegian biologist researching polar bears who becomes trapped in a terrifying nightmare triggered by an ancient evil and an intense geomagnetic ion storm.
DAY 1: The Gathering Storm
1. Arrival
- Talk to Tully and listen to Al’s radio message.
- In the Lab, collect the Tranquilizer Rifle, Darts, and Tracking Collar.
- Get the Snow Goggles and Coat.
2. Capture the Bear
- Meet Tully outside and tranquilize the polar bear.
- Check her damaged tooth and attach the Tracking Collar.
- Use the snowmobile winch to move her to the old cage.
3. Examine the Artifacts
- Inspect Al’s human bone and carved hide.
- Use the microscope and acid in the Lab to examine the bone.
- Talk to Nova about the Tunaguk legend.
- Go to bed.
NIGHT 1: Echoes in the Aurora
- Talk to Tully after his nightmare.
- Speak with Al about the ion storm and northern lights.
- Return to bed.
DAY 2: Madness and Molten Sugar
1. Find the Bear
- Discover the damaged cage.
- Use the GPS Tracker to locate the bear.
- Follow the tracks by snowmobile.
- Shoot the attacking bear.
2. Prepare the Dessert
- Collect eggs, sugar, and ice cream.
- Make the Bombe Alaska and brown it with the blowtorch.
- Have dinner with Nova.
3. Alisteir Arrives
- Meet Alisteir Uler Jr. when he arrives by helicopter.
- Listen to his demands about the research and oil samples.
NIGHT 2: Armed Confrontation
- Find Tully with a gun during his breakdown.
- Use the Tranquilizer Gun to stop him.
- Alisteir takes the gun.
DAY 3: The Crevasse Expedition
1. Get Nova’s Article
- Talk to Nova, then Tully.
- Use the key blanks and metal file to make a master key.
- Unlock Nova’s room and get the article about the Wendigo (Ashton).
2. Explore the Crevasse
- Collect the Winch Cable, Electric Probe, Climbing Gear, and Tranquilizer Rifle.
- Drive to the crevasse and descend.
- Explore the cave and find the Wendigo shrine.
- Escape and drive back through the ion storm.
DAY 4: Consumed by Terror
1. Make Thermite
- Wake up in the sickbay with Nova.
- Find out that Tully and Al are missing.
- Collect Aluminum Powder, Rust/Iron Oxide, and Magnesium.
- Mix the materials and burn the ancient bones in the incinerator.
NIGHT 4: The Final Confrontation
2. Restore Power
- Go to the generator shed.
- Enter: 1 → 2 → 3 → 2 → 1.
- Return to the station.
3. Disarm Alisteir
- Get the Crampons and Pole Syringe.
- Fill the syringe with Antifreeze.
- Climb to the roof and melt the frozen hatch.
- Get the Wrench and use it to distract Alisteir.
- Disarm him.
4. Final Cave
- Go to the crevasse cave and find Nova.
- Al is possessed by the Wendigo and prepares to sacrifice her.
- Solve the puzzle with:
- Location: Cave / Crevasse
- Missing part: Heart
- Disrupt the ritual using the equipment.
- Rescue Nova and escape by snowmobile.
Ending: Drive toward Thule at dawn.
